In 2021, about 355 thousand Samsung tablets were shipped to the Philippines, accounting for over 30 percent of the total market share of shipments. This was, however, 36 percent lower than the total number of Samsung tablets shipped to the country from the previous year. A surge in demand for tablets was seen in 2020 with the introduction of blended learning in most schools and universities in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
