Digital nomad aspirations in the U.S.

Digital nomads generally combine remote work and travel for various reasons and lengths of time. Passionate about travelling and new adventures, they know how to make the most of new technologies and only need an internet connection to work from anywhere in the world. According to the source, the number of U.S. citizens planning to become digital nomads increased between 2019 and 2020. Furthermore, this upward trend was also driven by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In 2020, there were approximately 19 million Americans planning to become a digital nomad over the next two or three years, compared to around 16 million in the previous year.
