According to a survey carried out in November 2021 among internet users in selected global markets, online privacy was said to be important for approximately nine in 10 respondents in all the examined countries. By comparison, fewer respondents reported agreeing they could be targeted by cybercriminals, with only 42 percent of users in Germany reporting feeling vulnerable to cyber attacks. Additionally, more than 70 percent of German respondents reported using tools to increase their privacy, while only 51 percent of respondents in the United Kingdom reported doing the same.
