While the share of investment-purpose residential real estate purchases remained at approximately the same level in the Hungarian countryside, this figure fluctuated in Budapest. In September 2023, 36 percent of residential real estate properties in Budapest were purchased with the purpose to invest, while in January the same year this figure totaled only 47 percent.
