Since the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Royal Caribbean Cruises has reported significant economic losses. In the first year of the health crisis, the company recorded a negative balance of nearly 5.8 billion U.S. dollars. In 2021, the net loss totaled roughly 5.3 billion U.S. dollars. While this scenario improved in 2022, Royal Caribbean ended the fiscal year with a net loss of approximately 2.2 billion U.S. dollars.
