Japan: general account military pension spending 2022

In the fiscal year 2022, the initial general account budget of the Japanese national government for military pension expenditures was set at around 122 billion Japanese yen. Due to a decreasing number of eligible recipients since the Second World War, the budget has been shrinking gradually each year, reaching a record low in the revised final figure from fiscal 2021.
