Monthly number of long-term care service users Japan 2013-2022
In April 2022, the monthly number of people using long-term care services in Japan reached approximately 5.9 million, an increase from around 4.7 million users in the same period in 2012. Long-term services include in-home services, community-based services, and services at facilities. Further growth in the number of users can be expected, as Japanese society is facing a rapidly aging population.
