Mexico: military expenditure as percentage of GDP 2007-2019

The military expenditure that Mexico reported for 2019 accounted for approximately 0.5 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the same percentage as the previous year. The share of GDP for Mexico's military expenditure has remained constant since 2009, with the exception of 2017 when it dropped to 0.4 percent. That same year, Mexico had one of the lowest military spending in Latin America.
