Share of young population who never attended school in Indonesia 2012-2021, by gender
In 2021, approximately 0.59 percent of the women in Indonesia who are between seven and twenty four years old have never attended school. In comparison, 0.65 percent of Indonesian men in the same age range never went to school. In the past decade, the number of school participation in Indonesia has been rising. While the proportion of Indonesian young women who have never attended school is decreasing, the proportion of Indonesian women who have never attended school is still higher than that of Indonesian men.
