Mexico: textile and clothing share of GDP from manufacturing 2010-2019
The contribution of the textile and clothing industry in the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Mexican manufacturing sector showed a constant decrease during the past decade. In 2018 and 2019, this industry accounted for 3.2 percent of the contribution of the manufacturing sector to the country's GDP. By segment, clothing registered a higher decline in the contribution to this sector's GDP than the textile segment during that period, going down from 2.4 percent in 2010 to 1.9 percent in 2019.
