The Belgian-Brazilian brewery Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev ) was formed through the merge of the two companies, Anheuser-Busch and InBev, in 2008, making it the world’s largest brewer and one of the biggest consumer products companies worldwide. The company is specialized in beer brewing and their product portfolio, which contains global, international and local beer brands, includes more than 200 different trademarks. According to the company, they focus on signature brands including Budweiser, Corona or Stella Artois, in which they see the greatest growth potential.


The company generated revenue of about 45.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2016. Their performance was outstanding in the beer markets of Argentina, Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Belgium, the United States and Canada, where they hold the top market position. In all markets listed, the brewery captured market shares over 40 percent in 2015.

In comparison to other selected breweries, AB InBev was leading in advertising spending. The company recorded ad expenditure of over 531 million U.S. dollars in the United States in 2015. A large proportion of their advertising budget went on ads shown at the annual Super Bowl sports highlight.
