Many Indian hoteliers see significant potential in AI, according to the 2025 India Accommodation Barometer. The clearest enthusiasm is around fraud prevention and cybersecurity: seven in ten hoteliers say AI would be helpful in this area. Marketing and communications and customer service are also viewed as high-potential use cases.
That optimism is more muted when it comes to day-to-day operations. For tasks such as housekeeping and maintenance scheduling and revenue management, a larger share of accommodation managers remain skeptical about the value AI can deliver. In fact, 30% rate AI as not helpful for housekeeping and maintenance scheduling, while only 35% consider it very helpful.
