In 2020, the global computer hardware market generated a total revenue of over 298 billion U.S. dollars. The year's worldwide sales volume was 3.8 billion pieces. Sales volume across all segment increased significantly in 2020, up by 13.2 percent for keyboards, and 13.3 percent for tablets. The Statista Consumer Market Outlook estimates that the volume across all segments will begin to decrease by 2022, having negative growth rates. Keyboards, for example, will see a decrease in sales volume of around 9.3 percent.
