16.12.2025 Statista Announces Management Change: Arne Wolter Hands Over to Frederik Gronwald in Newly Created Role as Chief Customer Officer
Hamburg, Germany – As part of the strategic realignment announced in October, Statista will establish the role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO) effective January 1, 2026, to further strengthen its customer-centric approach. Frederik Gronwald, currently serving as Chief Solution Officer and leading the independent service brand Statista+, will assume this position. As part of the business strategy evolution, Statista+ will be fully integrated into the Statista Core business segment, which in 2026 will encompass the areas of Data, Revenue, Product, and Tech. By reducing silos and streamlining processes, the company will serve its customers in a more holistic way with a comprehensive set of solutions, underlining Statista’s commitment to delivering an integrated customer experience and a tightly aligned growth strategy.
At the same time, Arne Wolter, current Chief Revenue Officer, will leave the company at the end of 2025 after 4.5 successful years: "I have actively shaped Statista’s development into a scalable company. Over the past few years, we have significantly increased platform revenue and built a global, structured organization dedicated to driving business performance. For the next phase and strategic development of Statista towards a Data-as-a-Service company, I decided this summer to pursue a new challenge outside the company. Since then, I have been supporting the handover to Frederik Gronwald, who, in my view, is the perfect choice for this new role," said Arne Wolter, Chief Revenue Officer at Statista.
Personnel Realignment for a More Holistic Customer Approach and New Growth Opportunities
With the introduction of the CCO role, Statista is, for the first time, bringing together all customer-focused functions and the Revenue area under a single central management position. Responsibility for and oversight of all customer groups will thus be consolidated in one area. With extensive expertise in building sales organizations and marketing teams, as well as 15 years of experience in customer management, Frederik Gronwald is the ideal candidate for this newly created position.
"I am excited to build on the foundation that Arne Wolter and his leadership team have created. Supported by these clear structures, we can now kick off the next phase of growth," emphasized Frederik Gronwald, Statista’s new Chief Customer Officer as of January 1, 2026. "In times of increasing data complexity and misinformation, we want to provide guidance and act as a reliable partner for our customers. The integration of Statista+ into Statista Core opens up enormous potential, as highly complementary competencies come together. As the future CCO, my goal is to make these synergies available to our customers as quickly as possible," Gronwald added.
This personnel realignment sets the course for Statista’s future and the associated new growth opportunities.
"I would like to thank Arne Wolter for his outstanding work as CRO and his contribution to our development over the past years," stated Marc Berg, CEO of Statista. "At the same time, I am very pleased that Frederik Gronwald will take on the newly created position of CCO. He brings the perfect combination of market insight, operational excellence, and a strong focus on customer needs – qualities we require for the next stages. The new structure lays the foundation for serving our users across all products even better and driving innovative projects successfully," Berg added.
