Definition Frequency distribution

In statistics, a frequency distribution shows how often a certain variable occurs in a random sample.

When a dice is thrown, for example, variables can range from one to six. After tossing the dice ten times, it is possible to count how many times the number 1 occurred, how many times the number 2 occurred, and so on up to the number 6. This exercise demonstrates the frequency distribution of the experiment "throwing a 6-faced dice 10 times."
