Around 63.6 percent of adults aged between 30 and 39 years old drank at least one alcoholic beverage a month in 2022, while only around 26.8 percent of South Koreans aged 70 years and older stated to drink monthly. The legal age of drinking and purchasing alcohol is 19 years.
