Singaporean respondents who have reported sexual harassment by gender 2019
In Singapore, the term “sexual harassment” does not yet have a legal definition. However, the Protection from Harassment Act (“POHA”) 2014 provides various criminal sanctions, civil and self-help remedies to better protect people from harassment and related anti-social behavior. Unfortunately, applying for an order under POHA is complicated and costly, as applicants would need a lawyer to assist in the preparation and submission of documents and subsequent proceedings.
