Waste greenhouse gas emissions in Russia 2020, by source
Greenhouse gas emissions by waste management in Russia were largely produced by the disposal of solid waste, which amounted to nearly 73 billion tons of CO2 equivalent in 2019. Furthermore, the wastewater treatment sector emitted approximately 27 million tons of CO2 equivalent of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
