Gas export share in Russia in 2020, by region

Europe was the main export destination of natural gas from Russia in 2020, accounting for more than 80 percent of the total export volume of that fossil fuel. The second largest share of exports was occupied by post-Soviet states, at over 10 percent. The export value of natural gas from Russia exceeded 55.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2021.
