Ease of identifying false news in the EU 2022
The majority of respondents to a 2022 survey across the 27 European Union member states said they agreed that it was easy for them to spot news or information they believed to misrepresent reality or be false, with 17 percent totally agreeing that this was the case, and a further 45 percent said that they tended to agree. Just seven percent disagreed entirely that it was easy for them to identify such content.
