Carbon neutral airports in Europe 2010-2019

The number of carbon-neutral airports in Europe grew tenfold between 2010 and 2019. As of May 2019, there were 41 carbon-neutral airports across the EU, the majority of which were located in Scandinavia. The Airport Carbon Accreditation program was introduced by Airports Council International (ACI) Europe in 2009 to recognize airports' efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. It is ACI's goal to reach 100 carbon neutral airports by 2030.
