Brazil: change in online sales during the novel coronavirus outbreak by category 2020

During the third week of April 2020, online sales of products for hands and feet – including hand sanitizers – in Brazil increased by 26 percent compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, sales of vegetables, fruits, and eggs via internet declined 54 percent in the South American country. The changes were linked to the outbreak of COVID-19. Moreover, in March 2020, online sales of health items in Brazil increased by 124 percent comapred to the previous year.
