Mobile games download growth in the U.S. 2021-2022, by genre

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, mobile gaming downloads boomed and the growth in downloads normalized and declined across all genres. In fact, casino mobile games, which saw a surge of downloads in early 2020, saw the biggest year-over-year decline in the first half of 2022 with a 17.8 percent loss in downloads.
