Chile was the second largest recipient country for solar investments in Latin America in 2019. With foreign investments amounting to over 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, the Andean country accounted for more than one third of the solar energy investment value in the region. That same year, investments in Chile increased by 84 percent when compared to a year earlier.
