Between September and November 2019, 43 percent of health insurance companies in India claimed that the insurance coverage and rates of the Ayushman Bharat scheme was lower than that of other similar schemes. 14 percent of health insurance companies on the other hand claimed the coverage and rates were at par with other similar schemes.
