Disaster risk management budget Japan FY 2021, by use
In the fiscal year 2021, the disaster reconstruction budget in Japan amounted to around 1.2 trillion Japanese yen, making up around 58 percent of the total disaster risk management budget. Since Japan is situated in an area where several tectonic plates meet, it is vulnerable to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.
