Mexico: toy vehicles production volume 2013-2021

Since at least 2013, the annual production of toy vehicles in Mexico has experienced a downward trend overall. In 2019, production added up to some 2.7 million units, a drop of more than 63 percent compared to the beginning of the period. This trend was further intensified in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. That year, the Latin American country produced only nearly one million units of this type of toy, roughly 37 percent of the production in the previous twelve months. Although 2021 represented a slight increase in output compared to 2020, it was still under pre-pandemic levels.
