Distribution of data downloaded in Australia 2016-2021, by access type
In the June quarter of 2021, most of the data downloaded in Australia was through fixed line broadband technologies at 89 percent. While the share of internet data downloaded with mobile or wireless access technologies has increased over the past six years, it still makes up just 11 percent of the download volume in the country.
