Wind energy production in Argentina 2011-2021
In recent years, Argentina has invested in increasing the share of renewable sources in its electricity matrix, and wind energy has been one of the main focuses of this campaign. In 2021, wind power generation in the country amounted to nearly 13 terawatt hours, a year-over-year increase of roughly 37 percent. Since 2011, this figure increased more than 800-fold. In January 2022, the share of wind in Argentina's electricity demand stood over nine percent.
