* In 2008, the Start program was launched by the Innovation Promotion Fund. Through this program, the fund finances companies at the early-stage of development.
Start 1: seed stage, funding volume up to two million Russian rubles.
Start 2: funding volume up to three million Russian rubles. Companies at this stage should be able to raise funds for the implementation of the project from
extrabudgetary sources.
Start 3: funding volume between four to five million Russian rubles. At this stage there're two options for co-financing: either rising funds from extrabudgetary sources or using company's own funds.
