
People engaging in online learning in France 2015-2019, by gender
The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people according to gender. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
By 2019, 19 percent of male internet users in France used the internet to take part in any form of online learning activities. Among women this share was slightly lower with 18 percent engaging in online learning. Over the last four years, six percent more men and six percent more women indicated that they used the internet for this purpose.
