In an April 2022 report, it was found that gaming apps on Apple App Store were the category with the largest number of apps not updated since September 2020, when iOS 14 was released. There were almost 2,800 gaming apps that haven't been updated since 2020. Entertainment apps followed, with around 580 such apps that have not been updated since the release of the iOS 14. In 2022, Apple announced its decision to delist from the Apple App Store apps that haven't seen any updates in the last three years. Overall, there were around 4500 apps on the Apple App Store that was last updated in September 2020.
