This statistic displays total investments in the textile and clothing manufacturing industry in the European Union (EU28) from 2009 to 2019, split by market segment (man-made fibres, clothing and textile). Across the three segments, investments in textiles were the highest in the industry over the period in consideration, worth 3.2 billion euros in 2018. Investments in clothing were worth approximately half of this value (1.4 billion euros) in 2018.
