Share of adults volunteering in England 2005-2020, by disability or illness
This statistic presents the proportion of adults who volunteered in the last year in England, between 2005 and 2020, by those with and without a long-standing illness or disability. Over each of the survey periods shown, the share of disabled and non-disabled respondents participating in voluntary work was about the same. In 2019/20, around 32.5 percent of respondents with disability had participated in at least one voluntary activity in the year prior to being surveyed.
