Box office revenue in Canada 2007-2021, by origin of production
In 2021, total box office revenue in Canada increased by over 45 percent. While the box office gross of foreign movies grew by almost 44 percent, standing at 325 million Canadian dollars, domestic films grossed around 18 million dollars at the box office – 125 percent more than in 2020.
