As of June 2024, China topped the list of countries by offshore capacity under construction with roughly 26.5 gigawatts. The United Kingdom and Taiwan followed with roughly 6.5 and 3.7 gigawatts. China was also the country with the largest number of offshore wind farms under construction. In 2023, China accounted for roughly half of the offshore capacity worldwide.
