Average unemployment length in Sweden 2022, by age group

In 2022, the average length of unemployment in Sweden was 37.7 weeks. People between 55 and 74 years of age spent the longest time before finding a new job, 74 weeks on average. Those between 25 and 54 years spent around 44 weeks before finding a new job, whereas the equivalent number for the youngest age group was less then 12 weeks. In Sweden, the unemployment rate was highest among people from 15 to 19 years of age.
