China's state-owned oil giant Sinopec is among the largest refining companies in the world. As of its 2023 fiscal year, it reported a crude distillation capacity of approximately 5.17 million barrels per day. This put it ahead of U.S. oil company ExxonMobil, which had a daily refining capacity of 4.46 million barrels.
