Supplementary notes

Political action committees (PACs) are organizations that pool campaign contributions from members in order to support or oppose the election of a political candidate.
Super PACs may raise unlimited amounts of money and spend unlimited amounts of money to advocate for or against politicians. They must report their donors and they are not allowed to contribute directly to the campaigns of political candidates.
Hybrid PACs are able to accept money and contribute directly to candidate campaigns under the same guidelines as regular PACs as well as enjoying the benefits of super PACs as long as the funds between the two PAC structures are not mixed.
