This statistic shows the results of a survey of Arab youth in the Middle East and North Africa on which social media platforms they use on a daily basis, as of February 2016. A 33 percent share of the respondents stated that they use Youtube as social media platform on a daily basis.

* The phrasing of this survey question as it appears in the report is as follows: "Young Arabs use on a daily basis...”.
The countries covered by this survey were Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and Yemen.
The survey did not include Syria due to the ongoing civil war there.
Respondents were exclusevly comprised of citizens of the countries outlined above, with 50% male and 50% female respondents.
The margin of error for this survey is +/-1.65 per cent.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates had 300 respondents. Iraq had 250 respondents and Palestine had 150. Each remaining country had 200 respondents.
The majorty of respondents were from urban areas.
