The number of GoPro devices shipped worldwide has been decreasing since its peak of 6.58 million units in 2015, to around 2.9 million units in 2022. GoPro is an American technology company that manufactures and sells action cameras, which is a digital camera designed to record action in an immersive manner.

Americas: GoPro’s biggest market

  Since the launch of their first product in 2004, GoPro has shipped millions of action cameras, generating revenues of more than one billion U.S. dollars each year, except 2020. The action camera company amasses a more than half of their revenues from the Americas, but it also has a strong presence in European and Asia Pacific countries.

GoPro’s expenditure on R&D and sales & marketing

  With total revenues of almost three billion U.S. dollars in 2021, the action camera market is expected to grow rapidly in the next few years, reaching a size of over seven billion by 2030. In order to maintain its leading position in the action camera market, GoPro invests heavily into research and development as well as into sales and marketing.
