Credit utilization rate of companies wholesale and retail in Belgium 2014-2018

This statistic shows the credit utilization rate of companies in the wholesale and retail sector in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels Capital Region (Belgium) from 2014 to 2018. The credit utilization rate is the amount of revolving credit a company uses divided by the total amount of revolving credit it has available. In essence, it shows a company's degree of use of credit facilities. For example, a utilization rate of 60 percent means a company already uses 60 percent of its credit available at the bank. Loaning another 40 percent should therefore not be a problem. The closer a company comes to a 100 percent, though, the less financial breathing space the company has. In December 2018, companies in the wholesale and retail sector from the Flemish region reached the credit utilization rate of approximately 71 percent.
