Mexico: import values of cocoa products 2014-2018

In Mexico, consumption of cocoa was estimated at a volume of nearly 67 thousand metric tons in 2018. In order to fulfill the local demand, states like Tabasco in the southern region of the country produce thousands of metric tons of cocoa every year. In addition, the country imports millions of U.S. dollars worth of the product. In 2018, Mexico imported cocoa and cocoa products with a value equivalent to close to 526 million U.S. dollars.
