The Global Consumer Survey by Statista shows that coffee is consumed among all the age-groups with 21 to 25 percent. But only approximately nine percent of the of the 18- to 24-year-olds consume coffee.
The import volume of roasted coffee is growingWhile the import volume of green coffee fluctuated within the range of 60 thousand to 75 thousand metric tons, the import volume of roasted coffee grew over the past years.
Roasted coffee imports saw a steady increase in volume, from roughly seven thousand metric tons in 2014 to over 11 thousand metric tons by 2018. In 2020, the import volume of roasted coffee into Finland amounted to over 10.9 thousand metric tons.
