Volume of coffee imports to Finland 2022, by country
In 2022, the volume of coffee imported to Finland totaled close to 3.1 million metric tons. The most important coffee import partners for Finland included the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. The volume of coffee imported from Sweden to Finland amounted to roughly 243 thousand metric tons.
The Global Consumer Survey by Statista shows that coffee is consumed among all the age-groups with 21 to 25 percent. But only approximately nine percent of the of the 18- to 24-year-olds consume coffee.
Roasted coffee imports saw a steady increase in volume, from roughly seven thousand metric tons in 2014 to over 11 thousand metric tons by 2018. In 2020, the import volume of roasted coffee into Finland amounted to over 10.9 thousand metric tons.
