Italy: perceived food safety of Italian products

This statistic represents Italian adults´ perception of the safety of domestic food brands in 2016. According to this survey, the vast majority of respondents (over seventy percent) felt safer when buying food product of Italian origin than they did when they purchased imported foodstuffs. By contrast, one in five respondents did not regard Italian food products as inherently safer for human consumption than foreign ones.
