Annual growth of the cigarette sales volume in Japan FY 2013-2022
In fiscal year 2022, the sales volume of cigarettes in Japan recorded a 1.1 percent decline compared to the previous year. The Japanese cigarette market recorded a continuous downward trend in recent year, promoted by the growing number of prefectural bans on smoking around public places.
