Boat licenses issued to navigate at sea France 2020

In the space of more than a decade, the annual number of boat licenses issued varied a lot in France. The highest number of licenses issued to navigate in maritime areas was recorded in 2015. More than 75,000 licenses were issued that year. Furthermore, figures experienced a downward trend in recent years. In 2020, just over 50,000 boat licenses were issued. When it comes to the type of boat license, the share of licenses to navigate in coastal zones was higher than for licenses to navigate one the high seas over the considered period.
