Number of licenses released by the Diving Federation in France 2015-2019
In spite of a moderate increase in the number of licenses and other titles of participation (OTP) issued between 2017 and 2018, the French underwater studies and sports federation (scuba diving) remained stable during a period of 4 years, that is, from 2015 and 2019. As in 2015, the number of licenses and OTP issued amounted to over 275,000 and in 2019, this figure was marginally inferior (272,000).
The French Scuba Diving federation does not regulate an Olympic sport modality, but nevertheless, the number of new licenses issued in 2019 were higher than the ones issued by the newly Olympic French Surfing federation.
