Vessels using berths in French maritime ports 2018, by type of activities
In France, the main reason for using a berth in a maritime port was private boating in 2018. As a matter of fact, 97 percent of boats tied on in French maritime ports were recreational vessels. With a share of one percent each, ships dedicated to fishing, tourism businesses, and sports activities were by far a minority over the same period.
