Number of Swish customers in Sweden as of February 2019, by account type

Swish was used by over seven million Swedes in total, as of February 2019. Nearly 6.9 million accounts were private, while 192 thousand were business accounts. The number of trade accounts was 3.9 thousand. In addition, the average number of Swish transactions per customer was 4.85 in 2019. This number was slightly lower than in 2018. The number was highest for private accounts and it amounted to 3.34 transactions per customer on average.
Value of transactions

        The average value per Swish transaction in Sweden as of February 2019 was 494 Swedish kronor. The average value per transaction of private accounts was 587 Swedish kronor, while for business accounts it was 370 Swedish kronor.

Online shopping payment among Swedes

        Swish ranked fifth among the most popular online shopping payment methods in Sweden in 2018. Ten percent of the respondents in a survey, conducted in the first quarter of 2018, used Swish. In contrast, 33 percent used debit or credit cards and 25 percent used invoice payment.
